Hey guys, today I’m going to show you how I like to make my morning green Detox smoothie. Now I know there’s a lot of recipes out there but with this hot summer, I know a lot of people are going to want to be making healthy changes to their diets. why not start with breakfast this is so delicious and it does not at all taste like grass That’s blended even though.
This is a green detox smoothie that tastes like fruit and you actually look forward to drinking this in the morning.
So let’s go over the ingredients. I like to use some baby spinach and some baby kale. For those who don’t like the bitterness use baby kale, it’s not as bitter and it’s a lot more tender. Then I have some frozen fruit here, some peaches and mango. You can usually get some mixed variety and then some strawberries and banana, some orange juice a bit of honey, and some chia seeds.
Now, this is optional but I like to put aloe Vera juice into my detox smoothies. Don’t go into like the drugstore and buy the green gel and start squeezing it in your smoothies. It’s not the same thing this is the pure stuff and it’s really good for your hair and your skin. It helps things move along smoothly if you catch my drift and of course, you’re going to need a bit of water just in case your blenders not the greatest.
The first thing you do is put a couple of handfuls spinach at the bottom. I kindly like to push it down and put some kale. It looks like a lot but it’s really not that much once you blend it down. Then add a bit of water, a bit of orange juice and I blend this by itself. There are no big huge chunks of leaves. So blend that up until the greens are blended. I like to throw a banana or two in that makes the smoothie really creamy.
Now, add your honey, chia seeds, and add just a bit more water. Then go ahead and blend it up. It’s not gonna smell the greatest but it tastes so good. So you can really use any type of greens. You can put cucumber in this or use romaine instead of kale. More acquired taste is to remain because romaine does have a lot of nutrition in it.
You can also use any type of fruit you want. But if you use a lot of strawberries or blueberries, blackberries, raspberries. This will not be green but brown and there’s nothing wrong with that. I make brown smoothies all the time but if someone sees you drinking it they’re gonna probably question you. I like to put a little piece of lemon at the top just to make it look fancy.
It’s delicious and you will get used to it over a period of time. This helps you go to the bathroom and helps you feel better when you’re sick whenever I and My husband feels like we’re getting sick. We’re drinking green smoothies, and we feel a lot better. So I hope you guys enjoyed this bit I just wanted to share my version of a green detox smoothie with you guys.
