Homemade lemonade is a basic drink with few steps and ingredients. All you’ll need are lemons, sugar, water, and ice. Make your own fruit syrups to add flavor to your lemonade. I’ll teach you how to do it if you follow the steps below.
How to Make Lemonade at Home
Before we discuss adding fruit flavors to our homemade lemonade. We need to perfect our fundamental Homemade Lemonade.
All you’ll need are a few essentials:
- Lemons: We’ll need 2 cups of lemon juice in the end.
- Sugar: It’s just plain granulated sugar. Equal amounts of lemon juice and sugar are required. We’ll whisk the 2 cups of sugar into the lemon juice until the sugar dissolves, and we have a beautiful Lemon Syrup.
- Water: It’s ideal to use cold water, therefore we’ll use 5 cups.
- Ice: 2 cups will immediately cool our Homemade lemonade while also diluting it slightly, which is exactly what we want. It’s a strong lemonade.
To prepare your homemade lemonade, combine the lemon juice and sugar in a mixing bowl and whisk until the sugar has dissolved. When you stop whisking, no sugar should settle to the bottom. It will just take a few minutes to do this task. Your syrup should be thicker than water when finished, and there should be some volume in the liquid.
After that, combine the water with the Lemon Syrup, and then add the ice. It’s time to sip the lemonade! Let’s get started with some fruit flavorings.
